Looking into the baby ‘s health the whole staff of Ratlam decided to shift this child to MY hospital situated in Indorebut the mother is still admitted to Ratlam Hospital. There is the only option that the baby has to go with surgery as this is a serious condition. Oveerall, 60 to 70% of the babies won’t be able to make it. Shockingly, this is one of the rarest and uncommon cases to be seen in the world, not only in India. The baby needs to be kept under observation as such cases are very unusual and rare. According to Dr. Brajesh Lahoti who is currently examining the newborn. He said this was is the couple’s first child. He stated that the life span of these children does not seem to be very long and it is very hard for them to survive and make it till very long. He is trying his best. However the child’s upper body seems to be normal but has two spinal cords and one stomach. Dr. Brajesh Lahoti also said that this situation is solely complicated and this is also known as ”Dicephalic Parapagus”where infants conjoined this way are sometimes called ”Two-headed babies” in popular media. The dominant theory on the origin of conjoined twins suggests that when the single embryo splits later, separation stops before the process is complete, leaving the baby joined. The average weight of the newborn is around 3 KG whereas they have also seen slight movements in its body. Though, this baby seems to be in a serious stage.
